| Wednesday, June 17, 2009 | | Speedway Preparations Day This Saturday | Hello race fans in south Florida. We need your help in getting Hendry County Motorsports Park ready to open on July 18.
This Saturday 8 AM until dark a major effort will get underway to prepare the track surface, lay sod, complete landscaping and general clean-up as we prepare for the BIG DAY coming very soon.
We need all the hands we can muster for the massive final preparations for the opening of the speedway. New speedway owner Ken Kinney has arranged for major construction equipment to be brought in to get the racing surface ready. Over 30 palm trees will be planted, the new VIP tower is being created, and much more.
He will address all the drivers and fans who come out Saturday and explain in detail where the track stands and what we need to do to be ready.
Bring shovels, rakes, weed-eaters, pressure washers and similar tools and pitch in to help make Hendry County Motorsports Park a reality.
A tremendous amount of work has been done, there are over 60 new sponsors on board, but there is still lots to do.
Things will get going around 8 AM at the speedway and will go until dark. We look forward to seeing all you race fans and drivers, make it as early as you can, but make it!! |
